Safety and Security
Safety & Security is of paramount importance to Pooosh and we aim at all times to protect the privacy and safety of our users.
We do this in a number of ways such as:
- The default setting for sharing information is set on ‘no’. This is to allow the user to choose if their details are visible to the Pooosh community.
- Allowing users to input any user name they would like - i.e. Purple Panther (you don't have to put in your own name in other words, so anonymity can be preserved).
- Always prompting users to select whether they would like to share their details including their phone number or not
- Ensuring that our private chat room facilities refuse access to anonymous participants. You control who you chat to because only you can invite another to join your contact list. Don't want to chat to someone any more? Simply delete them from your contact list. Since you initiated the chat room, you can block anyone at anytime by using the EDIT function and un-ticking anyone you don't want to include.
- Access to public and over 18 Chat rooms can be blocked using our Parental Control feature
- ID number verification controls access to the over 18 Chat rooms
- Always ensuring that when a user adds a contact that a message is sent to the Pooosh user being added, asking them for their permission to be contacted by the user. If you get one of these messages and you do not know the person who has sent the request, do not add them.
